Editorial September
What do we want in September, returning from the hottest summer holidays of the last twenty years, with tanned skin and sun-bleached hair? To find the energy to face a new season that promises to be not exactly easy, including the upcoming elections, the increasingly worrying news of price increases, the endless war in Ukraine and the cursed contagions of the Covid variants that continue to circulate. We want fresh air, some storms, a sweater on the shoulders that gives us security but above all we want to return to work, with family or friends in top shape. So why not start peeking in shop windows and online for something new that makes us feel beautiful?
The first piece of advice is to look in the mirror and like yourself: every woman has her own beauty that must be analyzed and cultivated with love and intelligence. A few years ago I wrote a book called “You are perfect and you don’t know it” to share an idea that has always been close to my heart: beauty has a thousand faces, all different and special, and everyone must find it within themselves with spirit critical but also with a pinch of cunning to enhance the strengths and hide the flaws. Because obviously we all have flaws, but we usually see them more than others.
When Daniela and I created the Crida project two years ago, we had a very inclusive idea of fashion in mind: making clothes that could dress all women, of all ages and sizes, refined yet incredibly comfortable clothes, that make the wearer stand out without being too sexy, tight and flashy. Clothes in which to feel good, to feel beautiful. And after four collections, and after having collected all the positive feedback from those who wear Crida, we are really convinced that we are on the right path, that of the refined but easy elegance that you will find in the new winter collection, already available online and soon in the best ones. stores in Italy.
So the second piece of advice is to get back on the road, there is a lot to do and you have to do it well, with commitment and also with elegance.
The Fall-Winter Crida is dedicated to Lombardy, the region that symbolizes working style, the land of business and industries, and is perfect for every woman to find that right piece that allows her to return to work feeling… perfect. The dresses in silk or wool (see the Como and Salò model) are always our trademark, the Italian fabrics our plus and the bright colors, such as electric blue, pink or caramel help us to shine and rediscover that energy that is needed to restart city life. In addition to the dresses, however, you will also find in this collection special pieces that complete the outfit such as the jackets (which are not by chance called Monza and Brianza) in velvet and houndstooth wool to throw on the shoulders when the coveted coolness arrives, or the new blue-white striped silk shirts that will be a must for next season.
The third tip is more important: never forget to dance (perhaps wearing a very short Vanessa dress with wide butterfly sleeves). We all have more or less demanding and stressful lives but let’s always give ourselves a moment of fun alone or in company: let’s do it out of solidarity with Sanna Marin, the young and beautiful Finnish premier who was the subject of shameful attacks for having fun at a party private, but let’s also do it to show that women, who today run companies, countries or even just their families, do not lose a pinch of credibility and skill if they indulge in a wild dance. Because unlike men, girls, we are able to do several things at the same time. And to do them well.
